His
roots, however, trace back to the hills of East Tennessee, where during
and after his high school years he sang and played with Country and Bluegrass
bands until heading off to college. He spent time in the U.S. Army, a
few years in the cattle business, and brief stints in and out of bands
and studios in between until eventually settling down in Nashville to
focus on his love for songwriting. |
